Frequency of Complications by Serum Sodium Level Among Patients with Liver Cirrhosis

Objective: Aim of current study is to determine the prevalence complication among patients with liver cirrhosis by serum sodium level. Study Design: Case-Control Place and Duration: DHQ Hospital Faisalabad.June 2020-Dec 2020 Methods: There were one hundred sixty both sexes had disease ages 18-75 included. Age, gender, height weight, BMI, other medical conditions collected after informed written permission was obtained from each participant. The blood levels severity problems 160 inpatients evaluated. Child Pugh class implemented. SPSS 24.0 version used analyze complete date. Results: In our most cases 102 (63.8%) males 58 (36.2%) females. Age 53.6±11.28 years mean BMI 25.4±8.31 kg/m2.HBV common cause found in 95 (59.8%) followed alcohol 40 (25%) cases. Mean MELD score 13.9±6.44. Most child-pugh C 80 (50%). We that majority 79 (49.4%) level (>135meq/l) hyponatraemia (<130meq/l)) 42 (26.3%) 39 (24.4%) (131-135meq/l). ascites 132 (82.5%) with, esophageal varix hepatic encephalopathy. Severity complications significantly hyponatraemia. Conclusion: As a result, we came conclusion hyponatremia, particularly less than 130 mmol/L, might suggest presence serious associated cirrhosis.
